Dr. Lesley Sawa

Dr. Lesley Sawa is a native of Toronto and a 1992 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College.  Dr Sawa joined our professional staff in 2002, became a partner in the practice in July of 2007 and managing partner in March 2010.  Married to Regina Symphony Orchestra Musical Director, Victor Sawa, Dr. Sawa's career has included stops in Kitchener, Toronto and Calgary, before she and the Maestro settled in Regina.  Dr. Sawa has been the driving force behind the Remote Area Veterinary Services program, a group of veterinarians and support staff that have made 10 trips to the far north of our province to hold vaccination and spay/neuter clinics in areas without access to veterinary services.  Dr. Sawa's efforts have drawn attention and acclaim from far and wide including the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal along with her colleagues, Drs. Karen and Greg Harasen, the Meritorious Service Award from the Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association, and most recently, kudos (and a cash donation) from Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron!
Dr. Sawa has recently taken training in endoscopy and rigid scopes.  This addition to the clinic has allowed us to work us more cases in clinic without the need for referral.  Dr. Sawa has 4 birds and many fish at home but is a lover of all animals.
Dr. Sawa is also a busy mother to two school-age daughters, Mariko and Michiko.

 Dr. Jennifer Jinks

Dr. Jinks is originally from Saskatchewan, growing up in the nearby town of Indian Head. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 2001. She then set off for adventure shortly after graduation to work in a mixed animal practice in the Yukon, where emergency calls could range anywhere from a horse with colic to a dog hit by snowmobile. After three years in the land of the midnight sun, Dr. Jinks spent a year working in a small animal practice in New Brunswick. In 2006, she returned to her Saskatchewan roots to join our veterinary team. Since joining the Animal Clinic of Regina, Dr. Jinks has taken additional training in small animal ultrasound. She currently resides in Regina and has a Golden Retriever, Jesse.
